What we do and how

eCPD webinars work in two ways: We run our own programme of webinars aimed at freelancers, individual professionals and SMEs to help them grow their businesses and careers. Past and upcoming webinar topics: Setting up and running your own small business ; Specialising in financial , legal , technical , medical and pharmaceutical translations; Working with agencies (for translators); This is important; Code of professional conduct for translators; CAT tools. Please see our Events Diary for the full list, which we update as soon as an event is planned.

In the near future we are planning webinars on subtitling, proofreading and editing, patent translation, working with pdf files, as well as tips on Microsoft Word, translation theory, audiovisual translation and many other practical or more academic topics.

Registration for webinars opens a few weeks before the scheduled date. Anyone on our mailing list will automatically be notified. To receive invitations to all these and future events (including webinars hosted by our corporate clients), subscribe to our mailing list .

We act as an intermediary for professional organisations and companies to promote their own webinars. If you have been thinking about organising a training webinar programme for your members or staff, but are currently unable to allocate the necessary resources, eCPD Ltd can arrange this for you.

You remain the owner and promoter of the event, which is run solely under your banner and brand. eCPD Webinars takes care of all the background work, including planning, sending out invitations, inviting speakers and panelists, tracking registered attendees, rehearsing the webinar with speakers and panelists and organising the event on the appointed day. eCPD also takes care of the recording and sends follow-up emails to all participants with a link to the recording.
