eCPD Ltd is a new company set up by a team of professional translators in April 2010. Our specific aim is to organise and deliver webinars to help linguists and other professionals run their businesses efficiently and profitably, as well as develop their careers.

What is CPD?

CPD stands for 'continuing professional development'. Over the years, each of us learns new skills - word processing, computer skills, business skills or perhaps new tools to help us in our work. But such informal learning tends to be casual and unstructured. Many professional bodies require their members to undertake a formal professional development programme to ensure that practitioners remain up-to-date with the latest technology and legislation, and that they maintain their skills at the highest level in their area of practice. And this type of training is affordable and particularly useful for those just starting out in their careers, as well as those who simply want to maintain their skills and experience.

By attending a webinar, you can listen to expert advice and tips instead of trying to figure it out on your own and possibly getting lost in the process. All of our webinars can be added to your continuing professional development record. All you have to do is register, pay where applicable and attend or listen to the recording. You will be sent a printed confirmation which you can add to your record as proof of CPD.

What is a webinar?
